Position Overview
Calian is seeking a Project Coordinator to support DND – Division over the life of the Land Command Support System Life Extension (LCSS LE) Ethernet Local Access Network (ELAN) Project and concurrent fielding activities in support of this project.
Responsibilities
- Primarily responsible for the drilling/training of brigade personnel, scheduling, and preparing briefing notes following the deployment of the new capability and the associated directives.
- Preparation and administration of national and Divisional implementation orders.
- Analysis of project requirements and management of conflicts in close collaboration with 5 CMBG and the National Project Manager.
- Liaison with stakeholders, affiliated headquarters, and project personnel.
- Preparation of briefings and weekly and monthly reports.
- Attendance at LCSS fielding meetings as required.
Qualifications:
- The resource must have a College Diploma or University degree in an Engineering or Business discipline.
- The resource must hold a Project Management Professional Designation (PMI) or a Certificate.
- The resource must have at least five (5) years of demonstrated experience, within the last ten (10) years, directly providing project management support services.
- The resource must be Canadian Controlled Goods registered and maintain this qualification throughout the contract period. Registration number must be provided.
- The resource must have experience in supporting a communications infrastructure-related project (e.g., networking, hardware implementation, capability fielding, lifecycle management).
- The resource must have 3 years’ experience using the following Microsoft (MS) tools:
- MS Word 2013
- MS Excel
- MS PowerPoint
- MS Teams
- The resource must have language proficiency in:
- French: Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- English: Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- The resource must have knowledge of IT workstation remote access tools; Teams.
- The resource must have knowledge of project management and fleet management.
- The resource must hold a valid SAAQ driver’s license.
Additional Requirements
- Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some of the area and overnight travel may be expected primarily but not limited to Valcartier in Courcelette, Quebec, and Montreal, Quebec.
- You will be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Secret level.
