Architect/Job Captain

Our client, a residential architecture firm located in downtown Toronto, is currently seeking an Architect/Job Captain to add to their team. This is a permanent position, with a salary of $110 - $130K, depending on experience plus competitive benefits and vacation package. This is a full-time office position.

Qualifications:

• 8-10 years of experience in drawing all aspects of working drawings for multi-family residential projects
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in the role of job captain
• Concrete AND wood frame experience.
• Multiple completed multi-family residential projects (mid-rise and high-rise) in terms of working drawings and construction detailing, in which the individual was at least a job captain.
• Should be experienced for site visits and construction administration activities as outlined by the OAA.
• Minimum 5 years of professional use of Revit is a MUST.
• Be proficient with Ontario Building Code (mainly parts 3 and 9, with emphasis on part 3) with minimum 5 years of hands-on experience.
• High proficiency of MS Office including Word and Excel
• Good communication skills with clients, consultants and officials
• The candidate will be solely responsible for working drawings with minimum supervision
