Director of Privacy Compliance

Hybrid - Westchester County, New York Or Long Island, NY

Hamlyn Williams is working with a leading commercial bank on an Director of Privacy Compliance position. This role can be based in either of their NY locations on a hybrid schedule.

As the Director of Privacy Compliance you’d be responsible for:

• Researching federal and key state banking and securities laws and regulations, evaluating the bank’s policies and procedures, and disseminating pertinent information to sr management and lines of business.
• Examine changes in laws and regulations from federal banking and securities agencies applicable to the business, products and services offered by the bank.
• Support first line control officer(s) in developing review, reconciliation, and quality control processes.
• Aid in the preparation of internal audit reviews and regulatory examinations.
• Support the development of new or modifications to products and services or new business initiatives for the offering or provision of investment and/or trust services.

The Director of Privacy Compliance would have the following qualification’s:

• 5 -8 years of experience in Compliance, Risk, or Audit in financial services with responsibility for investment and/or trust services and privacy compliance.
• Must have extensive SEC and FINRA experience
• FINRA Series 14 and 24 required; Series 7 nice to have
• Certified Information Privacy Manager, CIPM, or Certified Information Privacy Professional, CIPP, required
• Experience with banking laws and regulations, with a focus on those related to bank holding companies and national banks
