Job Description Position: Registered Nurse (RN)
Schedule: 32 hours per week, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 7am-3pm, and Friday 3pm-11pm. On-call twice a month.
Pay: $41 - $44 / hr, plus evening shift differential and on-call pay
Location: Essex, CT

Essex Meadows is seeking a hospitality focused
Registered Nurse to join our team! You will work alongside fellow caregivers to provide high-quality patient care.
Primary Responsibilities: - Supervises direct care of residents and nursing personnel on his/her shift.
- Administers direct care as necessary.
- Administer prescribed medications to patients.
- Make rounds to ensure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment.
- Keeps physicians and families aware of changes in residents' condition.
- Assists in developing comprehensive care plans.
- Maintains accurate documentation of all care rendered.
- Responds to resident emergency call system.
- Encourages restorative care in order to obtain maximum resident independence.
- Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
- Assures proper functioning of equipment and adequate supplies.
- Shares on-call duties with designated staff.
Qualifications: - All nurses must be currently licensed in the State. Must have current CPR certification.
- Previous experience in nursing, patient care, or other related fields, at least 6 months of nursing experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
- Ability to build rapport with patients.
- Compassionate and caring demeanor.
