Job description:
- Responsible for supplying assembly cells with parts to ensure smooth operations (deadlines, quantities & the right part at the right station);- Manage production and storage scrap (waste, recycling, metal and wood);- Ensure preventive maintenance of inter-plant feeder carts;- Maintain and update warehouse merchandise location as required;- Perform shipping and receiving functions;- In collaboration with the warehouse clerk, handle goods using a forklift;- Verify merchandise and quantities received according to delivery slips;- Receive merchandise into the system;- Maintain and manage the physical inventory;- Participate in cycle counts;- Prepare and ship parts for after-sales service (next-day shipments);- Follow-up with purchasing department for warranty returns;- Ensure proper housekeeping;- Supervise and mentor warehouse clerks and ensure compliance with safe working practices.Skills required:
- DES or other relevant degree- Experience in a similar position- Minimum 3 years experience in forklift driving- Knowledge of ERP and inventory systems- Good physical capacity (lift loads of 35-50 lbs)- Demonstrate initiative, thoroughness and attention to detail- Excellent organizational skills
