Responsible for managing all sea/air imports/exportsCoordinate delivery arrangements for shipmentsCheck OBL and submit to shipping companiesOrganize documentation required for Import/ExportsConfirm bookings and obtain appropriate approvalsBook freight with transport companies / agentsTrack and trace shipments on a daily basisReceive shipments into ERP systemEnsure invoices are processedVerify accuracy of customs invoices. Analyze tariff rates - file duty calls with brokers.Support duty drawback claims.Resolve billing, shipping and internal problems, and implement preventive measures.Continuously improve internal systems and procedures.Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferredCITT and/or CIFFA certifications considered an assetAt least 3 years experience in international freight forwarding or in a logistics environment.Previous experience in freight transportationCurrent knowledge of international maritime/air import/export rules and regulationsCanadian and US customs experienceStrong organizational and problem-solving skills with an analytical approachStrong computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel)Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively.Strong attention to detailExperience in managing third-party logistics providersAccustomed to working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
