GLOBOCAM’S ENVIRONMENT
Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the Health and Safety (H&S) Advisor plays a crucial role in promoting, implementing and maintaining safety standards within an organization. His or her main responsibilities include identifying occupational hazards, proposing preventive and corrective measures, and raising employee awareness of safe practices.

A GLIMPSE INTO YOUR DAILY ROLE
Business needs analysis: Assess and analyze business needs in close collaboration with stakeholders to identify functional requirements for ERP systems.
Risk assessment: Identify and assess risks to the health and safety of workers in different areas of the company.
Policy development: Participate in the development and implementation of occupational health and safety policies and procedures, in line with current regulations.
Training and awareness: In collaboration with the training department, organize training sessions to raise employee awareness of good occupational health and safety practices.
Inspections and follow-up: Carry out regular inspections of workplaces to verify compliance with safety standards and identify areas at risk.
Follow-up on incidents and accidents to analyze causes and propose corrective measures.
Employee and management advisory services: Provide advice and support to employees and management on occupational health and safety issues, including measures to be taken in the event of an emergency or incident.
Regulatory watch: Monitor developments in occupational health and safety legislation and ensure that the company remains compliant with current standards and regulations.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
Ability to analyze risks and propose appropriate solutions.
Excellent communication skills to raise awareness and train staff.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.Proficiency in IT tools for documentation and data tracking (KPIs).
University degree in occupational health and safety, environmental sciences or related field.
Occupational health and safety certification (e.g. ASP Construction, CSST), an asset.
Previous experience in a similar position or in the field of occupational risk prevention, an asset.
Knowledge of Ontario OHS legislation, an asset.
Willingness to travel frequently throughout the organization’s various sites.
