We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to provide exceptional nursing care to residents at our state-of-the-art Sun Rivers Seniors Community in Kamloops, BC.

Salary and Benefits

This permanent full-time position comes with a competitive salary of $32.84 per hour , paid time off, holiday pay, comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as on-site parking. We also offer overtime pay and additional benefits including extended health care and dental care.

Job Description

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering direct nursing care to residents, administering medications and treatments as prescribed, assisting in developing and implementing individualized care plans, and monitoring residents' health status. You will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to enhance resident care and ensure compliance with facility policies and BC health regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct nursing care to residents
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Assist in developing and implementing individualized care plans
  • Monitor residents' health status and report changes to the nursing team
  • Educate residents and their families on health management and wellness
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have a valid LPN license in British Columbia (BCCN&M Registration), current CPR/First Aid Certification, and previous experience in long-term care or a related field. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team, are essential. A compassionate and patient-centered approach to care is also required.
