The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees. Day to Day: • Manage admissions and transfers to the unit. • Conduct initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments. • Maintain timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems. • Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including labs and telemetry. • Accurately transcribe and process medical orders. • Demonstrate competence in Rapid Response and code events. • Promote continuous quality improvement. • Provide instruction and counseling to patients and their families.
