Job Scope
The Senior CNC Programmer creates CNC code to produce medical devices on CNC equipment utilizing CAD/CAM software or manual programming methods during Process Development or Process Improvement for use in a Production environment.
Day Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize production programs using CAM software.
- Create and maintain production documentation.
- Mentor and train production machinists.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality Engineers to develop and refine manufacturing processes for new products.
- Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) development teams and validation activities.
- Assist in training and transitioning processes to production personnel.
- Troubleshoot and resolve setup and programming issues on the production floor.
- Support and guide CNC Programming Techs and CNC Programmers in NPI and production activities.
- Investigate, develop, and test custom tooling as needed.
- Perform administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of CNC-related experience in manufacturing (medical device or regulated manufacturing preferred, but not required).
- Minimum of 5 years CAM experience or equivalent complex manual programming.
- Ideal candidate has Heidenhain and/or hyperMILL experience.
- Strong knowledge of advanced inspection techniques and systems.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and meet deadlines..
- Basic project management skills.
- Demonstrated experience in complex programming and machining assignments.
