BioTalent is looking for a Construction Manager to support a Biotech company in Tampa Florida for an 8-month contract assignment between 03/02/2025 to 31/10/2025 with strong possibility to extend.
This will be a W2 assignment meaning you will receive medical benefits, 401K pension and we will cover employment tax for this assignment.
Pay rate between 60-70 USD an hour, open to flexibility dependant on experience.
JOB ROLE:
Construction Oversight and Management:
- Supervise all construction activities to ensure alignment with project objectives, specifications, and regulatory standards.
- Manage the construction schedule, monitoring progress towards milestones and critical paths to ensure timely project completion.
- Address and resolve construction issues or conflicts in collaboration with the GC’s superintendent, applying solutions to maintain project momentum and quality.
- Compile and disseminate regular construction reports and updates to project stakeholders, highlighting construction initiatives, accomplishments, risks, and opportunities for further improvement.
Safety and Compliance Enforcement:
- Enforce adherence to EHS standards and cGMP regulations throughout the construction phase.
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits (GEMBA) with the safety team to identify and mitigate potential hazards, promoting a safe working environment.
Quality Control:
- Implement quality control measures to maintain construction standards and specifications, conducting regular inspections and quality assurance checks.
Team Leadership:
- Lead the construction team, providing guidance and promoting a collaborative and productive work environment conducive to achieving project success.
Risk Management and Scheduling:
- Lead Risk Assessments at project milestones to identify potential risks and formulate mitigation strategies.
- Lead Constructability Design Reviews to ensure the project's design is feasible and practical for construction implementation.
- Define and communicate responsibilities for project deliverables, establishing approval limits and escalation procedures.
- Provide expertise in identifying project-specific risks, supporting risk assessment and evaluation of their cost and schedule impacts.
- Participate in periodic risk reviews and act as risk owner for designated risks.
- Be consulted on the Overall Master Schedule, including baseline updates and reporting, ensuring the project's schedule is comprehensive and realistic.
- Consulted on Schedule Development/Updates, ensuring that project scheduling is effective and supports the execution approach.
- Accountable for the verification of contractor schedules, ensuring they accurately reflect planned construction activities and timelines.
- Ensure the achievement of construction milestones, monitoring progress and coordinating necessary adjustments to maintain project timelines.
