Position: Controls Engineer (IIOT)
Duration: 1 year contract with possible extensions
Location: Dearborn, MI
Travel: 70% travel to plants within North America
Compensation: $40-$48/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or
- 3 years of experience in Constraint Management and Factory Information Systems
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, SharePoint, Word)
Day to Day:
One of our automotive clients is looking for an IIOT (Industrial Internet of Things) Engineer. The engineer in this position would act as a liaison within the Controls organization to coordinate all controls and factory information system updates.
Additional responsibilities in this role include:
- Coordinate and manage updates to FIS properties for New Model Programs
- Ensuring FIS is aligned with each plant’s simulation model
- Global FIS planning and costing support
- Review/Approve all FIS pilots
- Lead FIS reviews with Plant ME Managers and DIS Administrators
- Constraint Management:
- Assist with developing and interpreting executive throughput packages
- Maintain and update productivity operating process/constraint management
- Maintain Productivity Operating Process SharePoint
- Factory Information System:
- Evaluate program assumptions and provide FIS cost estimates for new model program cost studies
- New Process Control Board Requirements
- Process Control Boards at end of Useful Life
- New Tooling and Conveyor Assets
- Rebalance Configurations
- Asset Revalidation
- Provide IT with initial estimate of drop counts, assent counts, and server counts
- Develop initial SOW for FIS Integrators & FIS Launch Managers with a complete list of assets (tooling & conveyor)
- Provide FAE input and signoff of all FIS specification revisions
- Maintain and publish specifications for Process Control Boards
- Interface with IT on updates to IT FIS standards
