The Lead CT Technologist will primarily work 7am-3pm. Occasional Evening (3pm-11pm) and Midnight (11pm-7am) shifts depending on department needs. Weekends and Holidays are required. No call responsibilities.
In addition to performing imaging procedures at an advanced level, coordinates workflow, assists with projects and coordinates educational activities. Functions as a working technologist and distributes workload to ensure efficient operations.Responsibilities:
Assists with quality assurance projects and assists in the development of exam protocols alongside of or in place of advanced technologists and communicates results back to departmental leadership.
Performs all responsibilities of CT Tech I and Advanced CT Tech II.
Leads orientation and training for new hires, students and other medical personnel; ensures competencies are completed in the required time frame.
Responsible for offering remediation with technologists when necessary.
Coordinates daily workflow and schedule of the department while maintaining staffing levels based on, but not limited to, call offs, vacations, patient volumes, and training needs.
Assists in talent acquisition interviews for successful recruitment of technologist candidates and provides feedback for annual performance reviews.
Assumes the leadership role in the absence of the supervisor.
\tGraduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of accredited CNMT program.
\tCT Specialty Boards Completed.
\t3 years CT experience required.
\tMust have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
\tARRT certified as a CT Technologist.
\tCPR or BLS Required.
\tCPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
\tARRT Certificate OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC)
\tBasic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
