Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at the Missile Defense Agency. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with technical experts and leaders from various MDA components to drive innovation and enhance operational efficiencies through organized and automated solutions across multiple domains.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement software solutions supporting MDA initiatives.
• Ensure rigorous adherence to Configuration Management and documentation standards.
• Provide critical input and insights to senior leaders to optimize operational efficiencies.
• Develop, test, and maintain software applications using various programming languages.
• Assist in the development of plug-ins and end-user interfaces (HMI/API development).
• Utilize UML and/or SysML for software design and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in software engineering or a related role.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, C++, and Python.
• Experience with Power BI and IBM Jazz.
• Knowledge and experience in building plug-ins and developing end-user interfaces.
• Familiarity with UML and/or SysML for software design.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, a growth mindset, and excellent collaboration skills.
