Short Description:
Support and coordinate daily production activities to ensure efficient operations within the production department. The Production Coordinator plays a vital role in managing communication between cross-functional teams, tracking production timelines, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products at competitive costs.
Duties / Responsibilities:
· Assist in overseeing activities directly related to product production.
· Coordinate daily operations and communicate updates with production teams and vendors.
· Track and manage production schedules to ensure deadlines are met.
· Collaborate with design and tech teams to manage raw materials, trims, and tech pack releases.
· Support cross-functional meetings and maintain seasonal production calendars.
· Assist in researching supplier innovations and support product development initiatives.
· Track purchase orders and ensure alignment with customer requirements.
· Coordinate logistics, including freight forwarders and supply chain teams, for on-time deliveries.
· Maintain communication with overseas vendors regarding schedules, order updates, and quality checks.
· Assist in negotiating with vendors on costs, quality standards, and timelines.
· Review quality control reports and communicate factory feedback for improvements.
· Document and track chargebacks for senior management review.
· Support invoice processing and payment tracking for purchase orders and freight costs.
· Monitor and report on production KPIs and suggest improvements for efficiency.
Skills / Requirements / Qualifications:
· Minimum 2-3 years of experience in apparel production or sourcing coordination.
· Familiarity with product development, tech packs, and garment construction.
· Strong understanding of production timelines, costing, and critical paths.
· Experience working with overseas suppliers and managing vendor relationships.
· Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
· Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word).
· Experience with PLM and ERP tools; WFX and Netsuite experience is a plus.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
· Willingness to travel as needed for vendor visits or production oversight.
· Korean language is plus
