Job Summary

Illuminate USA is seeking a Compensation Consultant to support our growing solar manufacturing operations in Columbus, Ohio. Reporting directly to the Head of Compensation, this role will focus on designing, implementing, and administering compensation programs, policies, and procedures. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in compensation operations, including survey participation, job evaluation, salary structure administration, and incentive plan analysis.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and effectively articulating the company’s total rewards philosophy, structure, and offerings.
• Develop and deliver clear, engaging communications about compensation strategies, policies, and programs to leaders and associates, ensuring alignment and understanding across all levels of the organization.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition to provide guidance on competitive compensation offers.
• Provide strategic consultation on compensation matters to company leaders in collaboration with Human Resources Business Partners.
• Participate in compensation surveys and conduct research and analysis on market competitiveness and trends.
• Support daily compensation operations, including job evaluation, salary structure and base pay administration, and incentive plan management.
• Perform periodic equity reviews to ensure competitive, fair, and equitable pay and administration of rewards.
• Assist the Head of Compensation with analysis and preparation of materials for the Compensation Committee.
• Provide customer support to managers and staff regarding compensation programs and policies.
• Oversee and administer the annual performance and salary review process.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong ability to prioritize and complete complex tasks while ensuring project/department milestones and goals are achieved within budget.
• A minimum of 7 years of related experience in compensation as an individual contributor.
• Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of compensation practices and departmental processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Experience with Workday Advanced Compensation is preferred.
