Position Overview:
Taylor English Duma LLP is seeking a talented and motivated IP Litigation Associate to join our dynamic Intellectual Property team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in IP litigation and a proven track record of effectively managing complex IP litigation cases. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with experienced professionals, where you will play a crucial role in protecting and enforcing our clients' intellectual property rights.
Key Responsibilities:
Litigation Management: Manage all aspects of IP litigation cases from inception through resolution, including conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs, and engaging in discovery.
Client Interaction: Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on case status, discuss strategy, and manage client expectations.
Court Appearances: Represent clients in federal and state court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and appeals.
Expert Collaboration: Work closely with technical experts, witnesses, and other stakeholders to develop and support litigation strategies.
Settlement Negotiations: Engage in settlement discussions and negotiations to resolve disputes in the best interests of the client.
Qualifications:
Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in IP litigation.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in legal research and use of legal research tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Membership in the Patent Bar.
- Experience in both patent and trademark litigation.
- Technical background in science or engineering is a plus.
- Familiarity with IP litigation software and tools.
