SAYN is seeking a highly skilled and proactive IT Systems and Support Manager to oversee our organization’s IT infrastructure, ensure efficient operations, and provide exceptional technical support to all users. This role combines systems maintenance, cybersecurity, hardware and software management, and troubleshooting to drive business success. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on problem solver with a commitment to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Systems Administration:
- Oversee and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud-based systems.
- Monitor system performance and ensure reliability, scalability, and security.
- Perform regular updates, patches, and backups to maintain system integrity.
Technical Support:
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to staff, addressing and resolving IT issues promptly.
- Manage the IT help desk and ensure timely ticket resolution.
- Document troubleshooting steps, FAQs, and guides for recurring issues.
Cybersecurity:
- Implement and manage cybersecurity protocols, including firewalls, antivirus systems, and data protection policies.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and implement solutions to mitigate risks.
- Train employees on cybersecurity awareness and best practices.
Hardware and Software Management:
- Oversee procurement, installation, and maintenance of all IT hardware, including computers, printers, and networking equipment.
- Manage software licensing, updates, and renewals.
- Coordinate with vendors for IT equipment repairs or replacement
Strategic Planning and Budgeting:
- Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Plan and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective technology investments.
- Stay updated on industry trends and recommend emerging technologies to enhance efficiency.
Team Leadership:
- Coordinate Program/systems training and development opportunities to ensure the team stays current with software and systems changes.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent experience considered.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in IT systems administration, technical support, or a related role.
- 2+ years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Windows/Linux environments, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and virtualization tools (e.g., VMware).
- Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and hardware.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity practices and tools.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), or ITIL.
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems/warehouse management systems (WMS) and business software integration.
