Hope for Veterans ProgramAvailable Shift: FULL-TIME: Monday-Friday: 9a-5pPER-DIEM / Covering shifts as neededJob Responsibilities:-Transports veterans to and from appointments and community activities in a safe courteous manner.-Demonstrates awareness of sensitivity to the needs of the veterans.-Reports observations about changes in veterans to Residence Manager, Veteran’s case manager, and/or Director of Veteran Services.-Follows all emergency procedures such as vehicle accidents, medical emergencies, crisis intervention, fire and/or smoke, police emergency, AED/ First Aid, etc. as per the Agency’s Policy and Procedure Manual.-Ensures agency vehicle is kept in good condition.-Informs supervisor of any problems with vehicle.-Completes vehicle inspection reports and coordinates vehicle maintenance as needed.-Maintains accurate mileage and transportation logs.-Assists staff by performing non-clinical tasks as delegated by their supervisor.Qualifications:-High school diploma or general education degree (GED); OR one to three months related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.-Some prior mental health/human service experience preferred.VEVRAA Federal Contractor. Request Priority Protected Veteran Referral.
