Job Description
Paralign's team is critical to the success of our client-partners and projects by providing key strategy input and completing and overseeing process execution. Accordingly, Paralign expects that all team members will be highly curious, self-motivated, and collegial leaders seeking to help build a highly entrepreneurial, growing enterprise.
More specifically, Analysts on Paralign's team support our shared success and prosperity by:
- Analyzing and explaining historical and projected client financial information
- Conducting due diligence, modeling, and general process execution across a wide variety of transaction types (Employee Stock Ownership Plans (“ESOPs”), sellside M&A transactions, buyside M&A transactions, debt and equity capital market transactions, among others)
- Performing and reviewing in-depth valuations of companies utilizing multiple financial methodologies
- Working in a fast-paced environment with frequently competing demands on your time while meeting project deadlines
- Reporting to, and working with, Paralign’s Associates and Vice Presidents, as well as other members of the organization
- Preparing and reviewing board presentations, confidential information presentations, confidential teasers, management presentations, among other presentations to support process execution
- Preparing and reviewing complex cash flow modeling incorporating leverage transactions, ESOPs, and multiple corporate and shareholder tax strategies
- Supporting senior members of the team with their business development efforts;
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with senior management level client representatives as part of the project execution process, while also assisting senior team members in the establishment and maintenance of other relationships with clients and prospective clients, their advisors, capital providers, and other stakeholders
- Utilizing an entrepreneurial mindset to drive successful outcomes for Paralign and our client-partners
- Performing other functions and duties as required to pursue the firm's growth
Qualifications
Ideal candidates would possess the following characteristics:
- Deep commitment to Paralign's vision, values, and unique positioning in the marketplace
- Ability to think critically through complex structures and develop novel ideas regarding financial analyses and presentations
- A desire to build a leading financial services platform and, in the process, build a differentiated and attractive financial services career
- Have a willingness to be physically located at our office in Minneapolis’ North Loop
- Superb communication skills, with a focus on project management, summarizing financial analyses, and client management
- Preferred candidates will maintain a strong, but developing knowledge of investment banking, accounting, tax, and finance
- Ability to travel as needed
- Desire and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work hard with a positive attitude while maintaining high standards of performance and a great attention to detail in all facets of work
- Highly independently motivated and willing to work long hours as needed to meet project demands
- 1-2 years’ experience in investment banking, leveraged lending, and/or private equity, with prior exposure to ESOPs and ESOP transactions being an advantage but not requirement
- Successfully passed FINRA’s SIE, Series 63, and Series 79 exams
- Undergraduate study in accounting, finance, economics, or similar with a 3.5+ GPA
Salary Range
Paralign is dedicated to providing its team with upwardly mobile advancement opportunities and significant compensation potential, which may include components such as direct and/or synthetic equity incentives and other benefits. While inherently unpredictable based on market, industry, firm performance, individual performance, and economic conditions, Paralign is prepared to provide a highly competitive compensation package based on the candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills, and experience. Subject to the foregoing, Paralign is offering base pay of $100,000-$125,000 annually, plus a competitive bonus program payable biannually, as well as medical, dental, vision, 401(k) / profit sharing, and other ancillary benefits.
