Responsible for assisting, supporting and educating women during the four stages of delivery: antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and neonatal.n
Sits with and monitors patient throughout (before/during/after) the laborn
Monitors contractions and helps patient with breathing techniquesn
Monitoring the fetal heart rate and mother's vital signs.n
Cares for patients on Pitocin, MgSO4 & continuous lumbar epiduraln
Checks patient’s cervix periodically to monitor progression/lack of dilationnnn
Qualifications and Job Info

1-2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience requiredn
Current ACLS and BLS requiredn
NRP requiredn
Recent fetal monitoringn
Must have Active State Nursing licensennn
