RN-ED Charge, Nights at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital summary: The RN-ED Charge, Nights is responsible for overseeing patient flow in the Emergency Department to ensure safe and efficient care. This role requires coordination of patient activities and effective collaboration with medical staff while exemplifying leadership and teamwork. Qualified candidates must have a current nursing license, emergency department experience, and relevant life support certifications. Description: RESPONSIBLE FOR: The Emergency Department (ED) Patient Flow Coordinator position is responsible for the overall movement of patients through the ED in a safe and efficient manner. This position will coordinate all patient care activities and be a liaison with the ED medical staff to ensure that care can be delivered in an efficient and safe manner. The Patient Flow Coordinator appropriately delegates the workload and is a role model for teamwork, leadership and professionalism in the ED. Qualifications: MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduate of a nursing program MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: One (1) year of Emergency Department experience, as a registered nurse (RN). MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License. BLS certification required. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: BLS/ ACLS/ PALS certification required. BSN preferred. Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) preferred. Experience participating in and/or leading quality and process improvement projects.
