Site Design Engineer

Position Overview
We seek an experienced Site Design Engineer to join our Mount Holly, NJ office. This role involves civil and structural engineering design, project management, and construction phase support for public sector projects. The ideal candidate will hold a New Jersey Professional Engineering (P.E.) License and bring 3–5 years of related experience. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer to contribute expertise in design, construction administration, and client management.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Design
- Manage projects through design and construction phases, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Participate in municipal meetings to represent the firm and provide updates on projects.
- Provide subject matter expertise for all engineering activities and assist internal teams in achieving project objectives.
Design Review & Implementation
- Evaluate and oversee the design of subsystem components, coordinating vendor visits as needed.
- Participate in design review meetings and ensure all designs adhere to industry standards and client requirements.
- Analyze the implementation of engineering procedures and monitor project outcomes to ensure efficiency.
Construction Administration
- Provide construction administration services, including resolving discrepancies, monitoring progress, and collaborating with contractors.
- Evaluate engineering processes with developer contractors and present findings or recommendations to clients.
- Conduct tests and inspections during the construction phase to ensure adherence to project specifications.
Client Support & Coordination
- Serve as the primary interface with clients, addressing and resolving complex engineering issues.
- Collaborate with engineering support staff to provide solutions and maintain smooth project execution.
- Deliver presentations and updates to clients and stakeholders on project progress and outcomes.
Innovation & Best Practices

- Assist in advanced research and propose innovative solutions for engineering challenges.
Qualifications
Required:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Licensure: Professional Engineering (P.E.) licensure in New Jersey is required.
- Experience: 3–5 years of related experience, preferably in public sector projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in analyzing complex problems and implementing effective solutions.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with municipal engineering processes and standards.
- Experience in construction administration and client-facing roles.
