Job Description

Stapleton Group is a dynamic team of seasoned turnaround management and financial consulting professionals, and we are looking for a highly motivated individual to join us as an Associate Director in our North County San Diego office. This role will report primarily to the Managing Director and Director levels. Ideally, the candidate would have 5-7 years of post-collegiate working experience and is looking for a long-term growth opportunity.

At Stapleton Group, we design, implement, and manage strategic solutions for problem commercial loans, distressed operating companies, sell-side M&A, and troubled real estate projects. Our firm is a leader in insolvency, wind-down, turnaround, workout, and forensic accounting consulting in the Western US. Many of our team members have come from finance or public accounting but did not see themselves wanting to pursue a traditional corporate role. We are looking for someone with a foundation in accounting, finance, and/or operations and an eagerness to learn and grow with our team but who doesn't want to follow the corporate accounting career path. This is considered more of a management consulting project-focused role.

This role can be considered an immersive rotational style program that will eventually allow the candidate to touch multiple aspects of what we do here at Stapleton throughout their career, including but not limited to financial analysis, sell-side M&A transactions, operations, real estate, and legal. The individual will be responsible for a wide range of work as part of various client teams while interfacing with executive-level decision-makers and handling complex projects across various industry sectors. They will report directly to company leadership, Directors, and Managing Director roles in the organization.
