Job Title: Data Analyst (Hybrid role: Monday & Thursday in Office)
Duration: 12 months

Purpose of Position:
This role provides data and analytical support to corporate and site marketing leaders. They will retrieve data from public sources or internal databases and manipulate and analyse them to support planning and implementation of company-wide and site-specific initiatives.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assists the corporate marketing team, develop and execute direct marketing projects / data extraction to achieve the company s objectives regarding revenue, profitability, market share, and customer base.
- Supports business, corporate and property leaders by providing reporting and analysis. Collects, analyzes, and interprets data to provide sound basis for strategic business decisions.
- Examines marketing promotions and programs to identify opportunities to improve ROI, customer engagement and retention.
- Analyzes customers behavior and recommends changes to marketing offers, promotions and programs in collaboration with the marketing team
- Regularly distill large amounts of data into actionable recommendations and presentations for management.
- Use exploratory data analysis techniques to identify meaningful relationships, patterns, or trends from complex data sets
- Drives innovative approaches to marketing analysis and data-driven decision making
- Performs other duties as required.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required
- 2+ years of analytical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience 2 years is fine
- Undergraduate degree in either Statistics, Business Analysis, Data Science, Mathematics, Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Masters degree preferred - Not necessary
- Strong analytical and programming skills, including (but not limited to) data manipulation, statistical analytics and marketing studies.
- Demonstrated proficiency in working with large datasets, and proven track record of producing data-driven insights to support business initiatives.
- Proficient in SQL programming and data warehousing concepts
- Proficient in statistical language R, with experience in packages including tidyverse, dplyr, ggplot and lubridate.
- Experience with DBI, rmarkdown, plotly, gt, devtools/usethis etc is optional but preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables and lookups
- Preference for knowledge with project-oriented workflow in RStudio and modern software collaboration tools (Git and Github)
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Willingness to learn, capable of understanding new concepts and mastering new skills quickly.
- Understanding of casino and/or hospitality environments is optional. - not necessary
