Position Summary
As part of the Product Development team, you'll contribute to the design and development of AC-DC and DC-DC power supplies. This role offers a clear growth path toward a Senior or Principal Design position. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting or leading power supply development projects from inception to manufacturing.
- Ensuring technical integrity and adhering to corporate and ISO9001 standards.
- Performing schematic entry, simulations, breadboarding, and implementing microcontroller firmware for power management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Senior Engineers to design and develop power supplies.
- Interface with customers to relay technical details.
- Supervise technologists as needed.
- Design circuits and conduct tests to ensure design verification and integrity.
- Keep current with innovations and trends in Power Electronics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in high-frequency power supply design.
- Expertise in AC/DC, DC/DC topologies (Full-Bridge, LLC, etc.) and wide-band gap devices.
- Hands-on experience in product development, bench instrumentation, and testing.
- Familiarity with MATLAB, MathCAD, and PSPice simulation tools.
- Knowledge of product safety, EMC requirements, and embedded design as applied to power supplies is an asset.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- 90% desk-based work; occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Some work in confined spaces (racks/chambers).
Work Environment:
This is an on-site role with one remote flex day per week.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range: $85,000–$95,000 (based on experience).
