Senior SDR – Path to AE (Commercial Fleets & Prosumer)


We are looking for a rockstar Senior Sales Development Representative that is motivated in advancing their career to the next level. In this role, you will be the face and voice of Hivemapper’s go-to-market strategy, talking to customers daily and building our top-of-funnel. This includes hunting for leads, building new prospects, and even closing deals. You will be a critical component in Hivemapper’s growth organization and will play a pivotal role in growing our revenue to new heights! 


Your specific focus will be commercial fleets and prosumer - the managers and operators of vehicle fleets (e.g. trucks, limos, lawn care companies, school buses), that are looking for a cutting edge fleet management and dashcam solution. This is critical to us building the supply side of our marketplace. 


You’ll receive training and guidance to transition into an Account Executive role in your first 6-12 months, making this a unique opportunity to grow your career in sales.


You would also be shaping the culture of our sales team as a ground-zero member. We want someone that eats sales for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! 


This is an onsite role, expected to be in our San Francisco office five days a week.


In this role, you will…


  • Prospecting & Outreach: Engage with commercial fleet managers, prosumers, and operators across industries like trucking, limos, lawn care, and school buses. We already have lead lists, so you will just be calling, emailing, and messaging them. 
  • Pipeline Management: Own the top-of-funnel by qualifying leads, managing follow-ups, and ensuring a steady flow of high-quality opportunities for the sales team.
  • Customer Conversations and Closing Deals: As a Senior SDR, we will also give you the opportunity to nurture and close your own deals, with the hope of you building a skillset and taking on the AE role within the year. 
  • Sales Process Excellence: Continuously refine and improve outreach strategies, leveraging data and insights to maximize effectiveness. We are a startup - break the mold, be creative, and build new prospects.

About You


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 2 years of experience in sales or business development. Experience with commercial fleets, dashcams, mapping, or prosumer tools is a plus but not required.
  • You eat, sleep, and breathe sales. Hitting targets and driving results are second nature to you.
  • Proven success in identifying and engaging new leads through cold calling, email campaigns, and other outreach methods.
  • You excel at building trust and rapport with prospects, understanding their needs, and articulating value.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills that show enthusiasm, energy, and poise.
