Our client is a leading manufacturer of waste industry vehicles, in immediate need of a Director of Manufacturing Engineering. The Director of Manufacturing Engineering will lead process engineering, continuous improvement initiatives, and manage manufacturing operations to enhance productivity, efficiency, and product quality. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, this strategic role involves overseeing project timelines, budgets, and cross-functional collaboration to align engineering solutions with company goals. Key responsibilities include team leadership, designing material storage and process flows, commissioning new machinery, driving Continuous Improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s preferred), over eight years of leadership experience in heavy manufacturing (preferably garbage trucks), expertise in mechanical and electrical engineering, and strong leadership and communication skills.
