POSITION OVERVIEW
The DC Team (DCT) serves as the final checkpoint in the document execution process. The DCT is responsible for reviewing and coordinating the signature process, ensuring the seamless transfer of all signed documents into our warehouse system for secure management. Additionally, the DCT acts as a liaison by coordinating access to new deal data rooms, which requires effective collaboration with the Deal Team, Trading Desk, and Agents. Beyond document execution and facilitating access to new deal data rooms, the DCT functions as a central hub for external requests, ensuring they are directed to the appropriate internal contacts. The Finance Associate is a vital member of the Capital Markets Legal Department and will support the Capital Markets business units.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Document Review & Control: Ensure thorough review, validation, and proper processing of all received documents for execution.
Signature Coordination: Oversee and manage the signature capture process, ensuring timely delivery of signed documents.
Document Management: Maintain and organize the document warehouse system for efficient retrieval.
Data Room Management: Coordinate access to data sites for new deals, facilitating collaboration as the point of contact for Deal Teams, Trading Desks, and Agents.
Request Routing: Handle all incoming external requests, routing them to appropriate internal contacts.
Process Improvement: Continuously enhance document control procedures to improve efficiency and ensure security.
Document Lifecycle Management: Oversee the complete lifecycle of documents from review, execution, and delivery to retention.
Legal Spend Management: Manage over $150M of external legal expenses by liaising between internal investment teams and external law firms regarding invoicing; prepare regular reports for senior management and portfolio teams.
Cost Forecasting and Analysis: Collaborate with investment and asset management teams to oversee external costs across the global investment portfolio, including compiling deal budgets, forecasting and controlling expenditures, and producing cost optimization analyses.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: 0 to 2 years of relevant experience required. Previous work experience in specific legal and compliance functions, such as Control Room, Ethical Walls, or related roles, is advantageous.
Industry Background: Preferred experience in an investment bank or investment management firm.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Access, Excel, Outlook, and Word) and Adobe Acrobat.

Software Familiarity: Prior experience with SimpleLegal and DocuSign is a plus.
DESIRED EDUCATION:
A bachelor's degree is required.
