We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with a focus on financial reporting, account reconciliation, and analysis. Duties
Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment approvals.
Conduct account reconciliations for various accounts, including bank reconciliation.
Utilize financial software such as PeopleSoft to maintain accurate financial records.
Perform account analysis to identify discrepancies and propose corrective actions.
Assist in payroll processing and ensure timely disbursement of employee compensation.
Collaborate with private equity partners on financial reporting and compliance matters.
Mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance on best practices and professional development.
Skills
Strong knowledge of wills, trusts, and estate law is preferred.
Proficiency in accounts payable processes and related software applications.
Experience with PeopleSoft or similar financial software systems.
Expertise in account reconciliation techniques and methodologies.
Familiarity with private equity accounting practices is a plus.
Excellent analytical skills for effective account analysis.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
Ability to mentor and develop junior team members effectively.
