Are you ready to step into a role that places you at the center of patient care? As a Trauma/General Surgery APP at UK HealthCare , you’ll be an essential member of our multidisciplinary team, focused on providing exceptional, compassionate care to critically and acutely ill adults in our ICU, progressive care, and acute care areas. What You’ll Do:
- Patient Care: Manage patient care from ICU admission through step-down and discharge, delivering evidence-based practices to ensure safe, high-quality care.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other specialists to make well-informed clinical decisions.
- Comprehensive Role: Serve patients not only during their hospital stay but also, on occasion, in the outpatient setting during follow-up appointments, ensuring continuity of care.
- Clinical Excellence: Apply advanced medical and nursing knowledge with clinical and technical expertise to handle critical care interventions confidently.
- Documentation & Professional Growth: Ensure accurate, timely documentation and take responsibility for ongoing development, advancing your skill set and knowledge base.
What You Bring:
- Required Education:
- Nurse Practitioners: MSN
- Physician Assistants: BS
- Certification/Licensing:
- APRN with Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) Certification, or enrollment in Post Master’s ACNP program within one year of hire.
- Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C).
- Skills: We value initiative, clinical judgment, and teamwork. Your ability to engage with patients compassionately, communicate effectively, and respond confidently to various situations will make you a vital part of our team.
