Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in financial modeling, product costing, supporting the accounting team, developing business intelligence (BI) tools and tracking costs to facilitate government cost accounting. This position requires a strong analytical mindset and excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex financial data. CANDIDATES WITH MANUFACTURING BACKGROUND ARE PREFERRED.


Responsibilities:

· Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to predict business outcomes and evaluate plant investment opportunities

· Product Costing: Conduct thorough analyses of product costs and profitability, providing actionable insights to inform pricing strategies and cost-saving initiatives.

· Support Accounting Team: Work collaboratively with the accounting team to ensure precise financial reporting, assist in the monthly close process, and reconcile financial transactions .

· Develop BI Tools: Create and implement innovative business intelligence tools to streamline data analysis, improve reporting capabilities, and facilitate strategic decision-making.

· Government Cost Accounting: Ensure compliance with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) for government contracts, maintaining accurate records and reporting on cost allocations as required by federal regulations.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

· Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar role.

· Proficiency in financial modeling and statistical analysis.

· Experience with BI tools and financial software applications.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Analytical thinking with meticulous attention to detail.

· Experience in manufacturing, preferably within the Chemical Industry.

· Knowledge of government cost accounting practices and regulations.

· A strong desire to contribute meaningfully to a small to mid-cap company.
