We are looking for a skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience migrating or merging networks during acquisitions and managing complex on-premise networks, including numerous switches, routers, and firewalls. Expertise in Cisco, Dell, Aruba switches, Extreme Cloud IQ, Ubiquiti WAPs, GlobalProtect, and Fortinet firewalls is required. This role focuses on maintaining network stability, security, scalability, and supporting cloud networking environments.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the parent company of the acquired business unit to transfer network ownership and ensure a smooth migration.
• Oversee and maintain on-premise switching environments, utilizing Cisco, Dell, and Aruba network switches.
• Reconfigure and manage wireless access points via Extreme Cloud IQ, ensuring consistent connectivity across the organization.
• Implement and maintain secure Radius Server configurations for Wi-Fi access.
• Administer and troubleshoot Fortinet firewalls and VPN setups to uphold network security and secure remote access, including migrating access to new gateways.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy scalable networking solutions.
• Continuously monitor network performance, addressing issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Offer advanced technical support and mentorship to junior team members.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least five years of experience in network engineering.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or similar) are advantageous.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Experience in migrating network ownership and updating routing during acquisitions.
• Extensive experience with on-premise switching (Cisco, Dell, Aruba).
• Hands-on experience with Extreme Cloud IQ for managing wireless access points.
• Proficient in configuring and managing Radius Server for secure Wi-Fi access.
• In-depth expertise with Fortinet firewalls and VPN solutions.
• Exceptional troubleshooting skills and ability to work in complex network environments.
• Solid understanding of network security protocols and best practices.
• Experience with Ubiquiti wireless access points and cloud controllers is a plus.
• Knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls and GlobalProtect VPN solutions is beneficial.
• Familiarity with AWS and Azure cloud networking, as well as hybrid cloud environments, is desirable.

$58-88/hr
