Job Description

Robert Half is partnered with a nationally respected Law Firm seeking a Litigation Paralegal. The ideal candidate would have 2+ years of experience supporting attorneys handling litigation. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal research and writing skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role will provide valuable experience in a fast-paced legal environment and the opportunity to contribute significantly to the success of our clients' cases.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis, including case law, statutes, and other legal sources.
  • Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence.
  • Organize and maintain case files, including electronic and paper documents.
  • Conduct client intake and interviews, and maintain client contact.
  • Schedule depositions, hearings, and court appearances.
  • Summarize depositions, medical records, and other relevant documents.
  • Assist with e-discovery processes, including document collection, review, and production.
  • Prepare trial notebooks and exhibits.
  • Assist with the development of trial strategies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
  • 2+ years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm setting is preferred.
  • Strong research and writing skills, with the ability to analyze complex legal issues.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with legal research databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with attorneys, clients, and court personnel.
  • Detail-oriented and highly accurate in all work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic and a commitment to client service.
