Job Description

Starting pay range: $75,000 to $85,000 annually


Schedule: Monday to Friday (no weekends)

Center Point is seeking compassionate and enthusiastic individuals with a desire to teach to join one of our exciting teams as an AOD / SUD Certified Supervising Counselor at one of our in-prison programs in:


  • Pelican Bay State Prison, Crescent City, CA
  • High Desert State Prison, Susanville, CA
  • Folsom State Prison, Folsom, CA
  • California State Prison, Sacramento, Folsom, CA
  • California Medical Facility, Vacaville, CA
  • California State Prison, Solano, Vacaville, CA
  • Mule Creek State Prison, Ione, CA
  • California Health Care Facility, Stockton, CA
  • Sierra Conservation Center, Jamestown, CA


About the Position:


As a Certified SUD/AOD Supervising Counselor , you shall be AOD certified at a level that allows you to provide clinical verification of internship hours for AOD Counseling staff. You must have a working knowledge of SUDT programs.


Duties:


The Supervising Counselor supervises AOD Counseling staff; provides staff performance evaluations and applicable coaching and training; supervises and assists with participant orientation and intake, review and approve treatment plan development; track participant attendance, and providing training, oversight and monitoring of all program data including ARMS to ensure contract compliance; coordination, generation, and data interpretation of various reports.


Minimum Qualifications:


SUD / AOD Supervising Counselor must have a working knowledge of SUDT Programs and meet one (1) of the following minimum requirements:


  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a social service-related field and one (1) year of experience providing SUDT services, as a certified AOD Counselor, at a responsibility no less than a Counselor III; or
  • An Associate’s Degree in a social service-related field and two (2) years of experience providing SUDT services, as a certified AOD Counselor, at a responsibility no less than a Counselor III; or
  • Three (3) or more years of experience providing SUDT services, as a certified AOD Counselor, at a responsibility no less than a Counselor III.
