Senior Innovation & Technology Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to become a critical business partner to the Sierra stores organization as a member of the Store Operations team, focused on IT strategy and project management. The role is responsible for supporting the improvement and implementation of store technologies and helping to develop the plan for short-term and long-term IT innovations that will power our growth and deliver outstanding associate and customer experiences. In addition, you will be responsible for partnering with internal and external teams to build strong working relationships that yield tangible results.
Your Impact:
- Supports the research, socialization, design, planning, testing, and delivery of technology and innovation projects that directly affect the stores organization; determines equipment requirements, capital requirements and business case justification.
- Partners frequently with key positions in Store Operations, Technology, Engineering, Facilities, Finance, Transportation, Procurement and Distribution to advocate for innovation opportunities that enhance our business processes and develops the business case for IT investments.
- Coordinates pilots and implementation of new technology; manages the testing criteria for IT pilots and conducts audits to ensure agreed-upon standards are achieved prior to network implementation.
- Develops and assists in the plans for training of the new technology, once implementation is approved.
- Develops and conducts post-implementation audits to verify that financial and capacity results were achieved.
- Supports development of post implementation reporting for monitoring of technology effectiveness and impact and reports to Sierra / TJX leadership on project status for all IT project phases.
- Areas of focus include all store systems; Register POS, markdowns, Back Office Applications, IT hardware and learning platforms
- Special projects as assigned.
Who We Are Looking For: You.
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience in an operations-focused role supporting project management and process improvement
- Bachelor’s Degree OR related work experience is a plus
- Experience with enterprise technology solutions; retail and store systems experience are a plus
- Analytical mindset and ability to problem solve with ambiguous information
- Ability to work cross-functionally to deliver results
- Proficient at building trust and relationships with key stakeholders
- Capable of influencing without authority
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office & SharePoint
- Proven understanding of store operations and the ‘day in the life’ of store management is a plus
- Six Sigma experience or exposure at a Green Belt level is beneficial

This position has a starting salary range of $72,100 to $91,800 per year.
Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
