Job Title: HR Generalist

About the Role:

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented HR Generalist to join their dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions, supporting all aspects of the employee lifecycle. You will be a key partner to employees and managers, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and screen qualified candidates across various channels.
  • Conduct interviews and extend job offers.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation and new hire paperwork.
  • Process accurate and timely payroll using the Paychex system.
  • Administer employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and other plans.
  • Assist employees with benefit enrollment, changes, and questions.
  • Address employee concerns and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Manage employee leave requests, including FMLA, CFRA, and other applicable leaves.
  • Conduct investigations and implement disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Manage workers' compensation claims and coordinate with insurance carriers.
  • Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations.
  • Conduct safety training and investigations.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Assist with various HR projects and initiatives, as needed.
  • Provide general HR support to employees on a wide range of topics.


Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience as an HR Generalist in a manufacturing environment
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is required
  • Experience with the Paychex payroll system is essential
  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong knowledge of California employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with integrity.
