Manager, Network Operations

Job Purpose

This role will oversee the Network Operations team supporting technical infrastructure. Also provides services for functions such as system administration, incident/problem management, project management and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Manages and directs all aspects of the Network Operations team, including assignment
• of IT projects and/or production support and maintains customer service-oriented
• environment. Ensures team members receive detailed, accurate and timely training for
• all new and existing job functions. Manages key IT projects within the Network
• Operations team. 40%
• Responsibility includes day-to-day supervision of the Network Operations team, ensuring the availability of the supported networks and systems, as well as building and maintaining partnerships with the infrastructure, architecture, application, and support teams. 40%
• Ensures operational problems are identified, escalated, communicated, and resolved in
• a timely manner and a root cause and permanent solution is applied. Maintains positive relationships with all vendors. 20%

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

• Knowledge and understanding of Network Architecture and infrastructure standards.
• Strong customer service skills while ensuring adherence to and support of policies and architectural standards.
• Working knowledge of FortiNet Infrastructure, Cisco IOS, Cisco Prime, Riverbed Performance Management Platform, and current enterprise architecture designs and systems.
• Proven experience leading, coaching, developing and directing the work of others.
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Preferred

• Advanced Networking certifications.
• Experience in various network analysis tools.
• ITIL Certification
