Delta Construction Partners is a national executive search firm for the nation’s premier electrical contractors and industry professionals. Delta has been retained by a confidential client to conduct a search for the position of Electrical Project Manager in Chicago, Illinois.
Electrical Project Manager Compensation and Benefits:
- Total compensation for the Electrical Project Manager in Chicago, Illinois. is between $100,000 and $140,000.A competitive salary

Electrical Project Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for coordinating and running a project kick off meeting and forecasting cash flow and manpower needs for projects.
- Prepare complete cost estimates (labor and material) for commercial and industrial projects within set deadlines.
- Acquire all require permits and licenses for projects and ensure all inspections are handled correctly and in a timely manner.
- Overall financial management of the projects along with profitability and budget.
- Perform field take-offs/evaluations for estimate preparation.
- Participate in the estimate review process with internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare bills of material and other information for use by purchasing.
- Prepare complete labor and material cost estimates.
- Schedule and attend field walk-downs with customers, subcontractors, and construction personnel to understand and determine constructability requirements.
- Compare various project documents for accuracy and consistency.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of change orders.
- Assist construction personnel throughout the project lifecycle in tracking and understanding basis of cost estimate.
- Travel may be required up to 25%.
Electrical Project Manager Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management OR field experience.
- 4 + years’ experience as a Project Manager.
- Experience with Industrial / Heavy Commercial projects up to $2M.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Knowledgeable of the NEC and all relevant local codes.
- Must be comfortable with scheduling, production, productivity analysis, change orders, billing project planning, etc.
- Must have extensive knowledge with change order pricing such as negotiating and discussing engineering issues.
- Software experience within Accubid, MS Office Products.
- Preferred but Not Necessary
