Sr. Hardware/Quality Assurance Engineer

Summary: Coordinates qualification, quality, and sustained engineering efforts for custom and servers and components.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Validate server electronics, mechanicals, and documentation against requirements.
• Use accelerated stress and margining tests to validate features and performance.
• Define and execute test strategies for server components (disk drives, cards, processors, memory).
• Release components for new and existing designs and create necessary documentation.
• Manage new product introductions and changes using PLM tools (ECO, PNR, PCN).
• Support validation and documentation of prototype platforms for early evaluations and regulatory tests.
• Perform level 3 failure analysis on field returns and manufacturing issues, collaborating with suppliers as needed.
• Work with quality engineers, manufacturing engineers, and production personnel to address product issues.

Competency Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent with 3-5 years of industry experience, or Associate’s degree with 8-10 years of experience.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Visio, Project).
• Ability to coordinate and execute test strategies with a team of engineers.
• Proficient in Windows and Linux OS in a server environment.
• Knowledge of standardized server test software and debugging electrical systems.
• Familiarity with server systems, architectures, and components (processors, chipsets, interfaces, I/O standards).
• Ability to generate accurate and thorough test plans.
