We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to join our team. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to design, oversee, and troubleshoot advanced electrical and control systems, ensuring world-class solutions for our diverse clientele.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and oversee the manufacturing and testing of electrical control systems and equipment.
- Create technical documentation, including schematics, test plans, PLC/HMI programs, BOMs, and system operating descriptions.
- Perform risk assessments, testing criteria, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for projects.
- Modernize control systems by replacing legacy components with PLC-based solutions.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing, ensuring equipment meets design requirements.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and assist in commissioning systems, requiring occasional travel (10 15%).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Mechanical Engineers, Project Engineers, and Designers) to meet project goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in electrical and controls engineering.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and PLC programming (e.G., Rockwell, Siemens).
- Familiarity with industry standards: NEC, UL, CSA, NEMA, IEC, NFPA 70.
- Hands-on experience with P&IDs, wiring diagrams, PLC integration, and three-phase power systems.
- Knowledge of industrial protocols (EtherNet/IP, PROFIBUS, Modbus).
