Position Summary:
Capital Cardiology Associates, the premier Cardiology Practice of the Capital Region of New York state and a founding member of the Cardiovascular Logistics platform, is actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Director to oversee and help direct the financial health of the practice and to work with the senior management team to establish and execute long term strategic goals. Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
- Serve as a trusted partner to the CEO, offering insight and recommendations on key business decisions that shape the direction of the practice.
- Overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring the practice remains efficient, compliant, and responsive to market changes.
Financial Oversight:
- Oversee the financial health of the practice, including budgeting, revenue generation, and cost control.
- Ensure financial sustainability through effective management of billing, coding, and insurance contracts.
Patient Care & Service Excellence:
- Maintain a strong focus on providing high-quality, compassionate care to all patients.
- Implement and enforce policies that prioritize patient safety, satisfaction, and confidentiality.
Strategic Planning & Growth:
- Work with the senior leadership to establish and execute long-term strategic goals and growth plans.
- Identify opportunities for expansion and new service offerings.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, healthcare providers, insurers, and community organizations.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and other federal, state, and local requirements.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize potential liabilities and safeguard the practice’s reputation.
- Monitor industry trends and changes in regulations that may affect the practice and lead efforts to adapt.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), or a related field preferred.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting, with at least 3 years in a cardiology or similar clinical specialty practice.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare operations, financial management, and compliance.
- Proven experience in staff management, strategic planning, and process optimization.
Skills:
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, billing, and coding practices.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement solutions that drive improvement.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Occasional travel to off-site locations, meetings, and conferences as needed.
