The Role:
We are seeking a results-driven Influencer Marketing Specialist to lead our influencer campaigns in an industry that people like Bob Marley, Seth Rogan, Snoop Dogg and Willie Nelson like. This role is pivotal in navigating the unique challenges of marketing in a highly regulated space, using innovative strategies to drive brand awareness, engagement and loyalty. As the go-to expert in influencer marketing, you’ll build authentic partnerships that align with our brand values and navigate platform restrictions creatively and compliantly.
The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, highly organized, and experienced in executing end-to-end influencer strategies, with a knack for creative problem-solving and innovation within regulated industries. We are seeking, initially, temporary help for the first 60 days as a trial which, if successful, will then be extended to full time
Influencer Partnerships
- Research, identify, recruit and build lasting relationships with influencers on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, ensuring alignment with brand values and goals
- Ensure influencers align with brand values and have a genuine connection and are supportive of the industry
- Act as the main point of contact for influencers, fostering trust and collaboration
Campaign Strategy & Execution
- Design, develop and launch influencer campaigns that adhere to state, federal, and platform-specific marketing regulations
- Manage content approvals, timelines, and deliverables to meet campaign goals
- Ensure all influencer content aligns with brand messaging, legal requirements, and target audience expectations
- Able to craft wider social media campaigns (e.g. User Generated campaign, advocacy campaigns, gamified campaigns etc)
Compliance & Innovation
- Stay informed on cannabis marketing regulations and platform policies, proactively identifying risks and solutions (e.g. shadow banning, account suspensions etc)
- Innovate within the constraints of platform restrictions, using creative strategies to drive results without compromising compliance
Performance & Reporting
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance using KPIs like engagement, reach, and conversions
- Deliver actionable insights to refine future campaigns and maximize ROI
What You Bring
- Experience: 3+ years in influencer marketing, preferably in cannabis or other regulated industries like alcohol or CBD
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
Skills:
- Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously
- Creative thinker with a proven ability to solve problems innovatively
- Expertise in social media platforms, trends, and KPIs (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)
Knowledge:
- Familiarity within this industry’s marketing regulations and platform-specific policies
- Understanding of audience engagement strategies and influencer collaboration best practices
Other important information:
- This position will start out as a temporary position for 60 days with the option to extend to full time to potentially cover other clients / accounts
