Caregivers in the ICU provide critical care for patients with life-threatening illnesses or injuries and have either sustained or are at risk of suffering the failure of one or more vital functions, systems, or organs. Patients in the ICU require rigorous care and monitoring to reverse their near-fatal conditions and temporarily support them while they recover. Types of procedures on this unit include intubation, TTM, CRRT, bronchoscopy, ICP monitoring, organ donation, and post-operative care. By taking this opportunity, you will join a team that focuses on collaboration, teamwork, and excellent patient care.nnA caregiver in this position works days, 7:00am - 7:00pm.nnA caregiver who excels in this role will:nnProvide direct nursing care.nnImplement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.nnMonitor, record, document and communicate patients' conditions.nnAdminister prescribed medications and treatments.nnNote and carry out physician and nursing orders.nnAssess and coordinate patients' discharge needs.nnEducate patients and their families.nnMinimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:nnGraduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.nnCurrent state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).nnBasic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).nnAdvanced Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or willing to obtain within one year of employment.nnOne year of current acute care RN experience. Will consider military RN experience.nnPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:nnBachelor of science in nursing (BSN).nnAt least 1 year critical care RN experience strongly preferrednnOur caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
