Salary/Benefits:

• Hourly Rate: $21.06.
• This is a 52-week position which offers Board paid health benefits; sick, personal and vacation time upon successful completion of a 30 day worked probationary period.

Qualifications:

1. Class B CDL with school bus and passenger endorsements.
2. Successful drug test.
3. Successful physical.
4. Successful BCII & FBI background checks.

Summary of Essential Job Duties:

1. Directly responsible to the Transportation Expeditor.
2. Responsible for the safe transportation of pupils to and from school
3. Submit reports as required; gas consumption, mileage, number of pupils transported, etc.
4. Be familiar with the State of Ohio regulations and rules concerning the safe operation of the bus.
5. Attend safety meetings as directed.
6. Assist in the formulation of bus routes and submit bus schedule with pupils' names as directed.
7. Be responsible for the cleanliness of the bus and proper functioning of safety equipment such as windshield wipers, turn signals, etc.
8. Park vehicle in designated area.
9. Maintain daily driving schedule as set up.
10. Maintain orderly conduct of pupils at all times. Report misbehavior of pupils and follow corrective action as directed.
11. Report all accidents to proper civil authorities and school officials immediately.
12. Perform any other bus related duties as directed by the Transportation Expeditor.
13. Abide by the rules, regulations, policies and procedures of The Warren City School District Board of Education.
14. Perform any other relevant duties as may be assigned by the Superintendent, the Executive Director of Business Operations, or his/her designee.

Employment upon completion of all Warren City Schools pre-employment requirements.
Upon successful completion of probationary period, and meeting all State of Ohio CDL requirements and established pre-employment and other employment requirements established by the Warren City School District, a contracted employee has the option for medical benefits, earned paid sick, personal and vacation time, as established by IUOE Local 95 union contract.
