We also offer financial wellness tools and retirement planning.nnScope:nnMRI Technologist responsibilities:nnOperate a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatments of pathologies.nnPossess thorough knowledge and understanding of the principals and physics of magnetic resonance imaging.nnSelect appropriate imaging techniques and protocols to complete the exam.nnReceive patients, explain method of examination, and position patient, perform IV puncture, and administer IV contrast agent when indicated.nnIndependently perform and complete routine examinations.nnMeet the needs of the patient, family and multi-disciplinary team through effective communication, coordination and documentation ensuring safety, care, courtesy and efficiency.nnActively participate in quality initiatives to ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction, highest level of patient care and workflow efficiencies.nnRequirements:nnAssociate Degree or equivalent from two-year College or Technical School; or one year minimum related experience and/or training, required- Current ARRT (R) or (MR)nnCurrent BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association, requirednnAbility to interact with people of all ages, required- At least one (1) year of experience as a MRI Technologist, preferrednnNow that you know more about being an MRI Technologist on our team, we hope you’ll join us. At Intermountain Health, you’ll reaffirm every day how much you love this work, and why you were called to it in the first place.nnPhysical Requirements:nnOngoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.- and -Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.- and -Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.- and -Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.- and -Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items.
