Position Overview:
The Salad Prep Cook will be responsible for preparing and assembling a variety of fresh, healthy, and flavorful salads for our bakery and café menu. This position is ideal for someone with an eye for detail, a passion for fresh ingredients, and a desire to contribute to a positive and collaborative kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Wash, peel, chop, and prepare vegetables, fruits, and other salad ingredients according to recipe specifications.
• Assemble and dress salads with precision, ensuring consistency in flavor, texture, and presentation.
• Maintain proper food storage and labeling practices to ensure freshness and food safety.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations, particularly during busy service times.
• Assist in managing inventory, ensuring that ingredients are stocked, rotated, and prepared for service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient prep area.
• Assist with other kitchen duties as needed, including cleaning and organizing storage areas.
• Follow all safety, health, and sanitation guidelines to ensure food safety standards are met.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in food preparation, ideally in a similar role (salad prep, line cook, or kitchen assistant).
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail, especially in ingredient preparation and presentation.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions with precision.
• A passion for fresh, high-quality ingredients and healthy eating.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred:

• Experience working in a high-volume kitchen or food prep environment.
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with food preparation equipment.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
