Key Responsibilities
As our Maitre D’ / Manager, you will:
- Be the Face of the Restaurant: Welcome guests with warmth, oversee the flow of the dining room, and set the tone for an elevated guest experience.
- Lead by Example: Supervise and support the FOH team to ensure exceptional service standards during dinner and brunch shifts.
- Maintain Reservations: Manage the reservation system, balancing walk-ins and booked tables to maximize seating efficiency while maintaining guest satisfaction.
- Deliver Excellence: Handle VIPs, special requests, and high-pressure situations with poise and professionalism.
- Collaborate: Work closely with the GM, Chef, and bar team to ensure seamless operations and execution of the restaurant's vision.
- Train and Motivate Staff: Assist in onboarding, training, and inspiring the FOH team to deliver consistent excellence.
- Oversee Ambiance: Ensure the dining room, bar area, and entryway are impeccably presented and that the atmosphere aligns with our upscale, hip vibe.
- Handle Guest Feedback: Address concerns with empathy and quick solutions, fostering repeat visits and positive reviews.
What We’re Looking For
- Charisma and Confidence: You’re a natural host who thrives in the spotlight and makes every guest feel like a VIP.
- Hospitality Expertise: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role at an upscale or fine-dining establishment.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage, inspire, and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with reservation systems (e.g., Resy, OpenTable) and basic POS operations.
- Detail-Oriented: A keen eye for presentation, from plating to ambiance, and the ability to anticipate guest needs.
- Schedule Flexibility: Availability for dinner shifts and some brunches, including weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of Food & Beverage: Strong understanding of upscale cuisine, wine, and cocktails.
