Provides occupational therapy assessment and treatment using advanced clinical skills in a specialty area of occupational therapy for patients referred to non-contracted and contracted facilities of the Rehabilitation Institute. Serves as a clinical resource for other staff members. May have an individual agreement with an academic institution for instructional services. Participates in research conducted within the Rehabilitation Institute.nnThis position will work in the Centre Commons office 3 days a week and will float to assist other offices 2 days a week.nnResponsibilities:nnMaintain documentation for all occupational therapy services, including assessments, follow-ups, and discharge summaries.nnCo-sign occupational therapy assistant documentation biweekly.nnCommunicate patient's status to referring physicians and healthcare team members.nnComplete charge and statistical information to reflect services rendered.nnSchedule patients to meet productivity standards while ensuring quality care.nnProvide verbal/written home instructions to patients and/or family members.nnSupervise clinical education programs for students from various universities.nnMaintain professional license through continuing education and professional development.nnPerform and supervise occupational therapy assessments, treatments, and plan adjustments.nnParticipate in staff meetings and in-service education programsnnGraduate of an accredited program approved by The Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE)nnMust possess knowledge and skills required to provide quality customer service.nnHand Therapy and Chronic Pain Management experience, preferred but not requirednnLicensure, Certifications, and Clearances:nnActive license in practicing state required.
