Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (No On-Call Required)
Weekends: Rotating, approximately every other weekend

Key Responsibilities - Provide comprehensive care across labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum , and special care nursery settings.
- Administer and monitor cervical ripening, Pitocin inductions, magnesium sulfate, and insulin drips for high-risk pregnancies.
- Assist in C-sections, tubal ligations, and fetal demise care with compassion and clinical excellence.
- Monitor and care for newborns, including transition and medium-risk infants in the special care nursery with plans for Level II NICU expansion in late 2024.
Unit Information - Beds: 23 (12 Labor, 11 Postpartum)
- Special Features: 2 OB EDs, 2-bed triage, 8-bed Special Care Nursery, and Giraffe Warmers & Isolettes for neonatal care.
- Staffing:
- Day Shift: Charge RN, NSY RN, 1-2 Postpartum RNs, 1-2 Labor RNs
- Night Shift: Similar staffing with labor nurses flexing off as needed
- Patient Ratios: 1:2 labor (or 1:1 for high-risk), 1:3-4 couplets (max 1:4)
Equipment & EMR - Equipment: Alaris Pumps, Giraffe Warmers, GE Fetal Monitors, Monica Wireless Monitoring, TOCO cords
- EMR Systems: GE Centricity/CPN & Meditech
Qualifications - Required Certifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of Labor or Postpartum experience within the last year.
- LDRP, NICU, and transition/baby catching experience preferred.
Preferred Skills - STABLE Certification (optional)
- Familiarity with maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) protocols
- Experience assisting in high-risk maternal care
